Job Description

As a Medical Scheduler, you will manage patient appointments through a telephone queue, ensure accurate scheduling based on clinical protocols, and provide professional, courteous service—supporting efficient care delivery while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and productivity.

Shift: Day shift | Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Work setup: Onsite – Calle 97A, Bogotá, Colombia

The Qualifications We Seek

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and professional telephone etiquette
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
• Strong work ethic

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 1-3 year of medical scheduling experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working on a computer
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds when necessary

Your Daily Tasks

• Schedule patient appointments accurately according to established practice protocols
• Screen patients for demographic information and update systems as needed
• Verify payment methods, including Medicare, private insurance, and self-pay
• Ensure required referrals and authorizations are in progress prior to scheduling
• Inform patients of documentation or payment needed at the time of visit
• Maintain satisfactory productivity levels
• Navigate assigned client systems and scheduling protocols effectively
• Answer general patient inquiries professionally and clearly
• Comply with HIPAA, internal policies, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned
